It's not clear as to which version I should use - the Router Database says I should use version 13064 - the "peacock thread" says I should not use 13064 and that I should read the peacock thread to find out which version to use. What I got then was a DD-WRT weird page with 3 text boxes with data masked with dots and a change password button. No color, just black on white. I think I got lucky here. I think here is where I was supposed to wait like the Peacock thread said (not sure) and did only because it didn't look right so I decided not to do anything for at least 1
After you have done this WHEN DD-WRT IS INSTALLED, if you haven't been asked to change your password by the dd-wrt webgui when you try to login to the router at 192.168.1.1, (presuming you are doing a hard reset on a dd-wrt build newer than 9707, June 14, 2008, when the auto reconfig password was introduced) you haven't done the hard reset
