I have seen this issue on my other EA2700, EA6400, E8350, and WRT3200acm routers. You can set whatever # you want for MP, the router will change to a lower # within a few days if not hours. Do us a favor Linksys, let us set the MP and disable the smartwifi from doing it …
May 07, 2020 · Unless you have the Linksys MR8300 wireless router, which is designed to work with the Velop, your existing router will not work. The main node of the Velop is connected directly to your modem. You can have a switch after that node, but cannot put a router in as the parent node does all the routing. I do know that some people got WDS mode to work, but this requires two programmable routers like the wrt54g. My solution should work with any other router. Maybe other configurations could also work, but I think my solution works quite well.
